The 2016 Aldermaston Candle Auction was held for the 2nd time in the Hinds Head, but for the 1st time in the newly created Officers Mess function room.

Although, in one of the photographs below, the top table can be seen smoking clay pipes, they are in fact pretending,  as since the start of the Candle auction, back in 1815, a smoking ban in public places has been banned.
